Não é assim tão fácil beber a quantidade de água necessária por dia. Por vezes, esquecemo-nos de beber.

O jarro ou a grande garrafa de água não estavam a resultar para mim. Então decidi encher - logo ao acordar -  7 ou 8 copos com 250 ml de água, adicionando bocados de fruta e ervas aromáticas. Ao olhar estes copos em fila fico motivada a beber mais.  

Uma boa ideia, não acham? : )

 It is not that easy to drink the right amount of water daily.

The pitcher and the bottle of water were not working for me.

So, I decided to fill these glasses with 250 ml of water each- every morning - adding pieces of fruit and herbs, which gives it a touch of flavour; this is my own spa water. I keep them covered on top of the kitchen counter.  It’s working so far.

A good idea, don’t you think? : )

Tenho estado bastante ocupada!

Tenho-me dado ao luxo de ver as três temporadas de "Yellowstone"!

Como o nosso confinamento se prolongou até 8 de março, terei que procurar outras séries... ou rever “Bridgerton”... uma série a não perder.

 

I have been extremely busy!

I have been indulging in binge watching all three seasons of "Yellowstone"! 

The stay-at-home order has been extended until March 8^th.  I will have to find other series to watch or re-watch “Bridgerton”!

Tomei uma decisão. Vou tornar-me polotária ou então flexitária, ou seja, uma vegetariana flexível... por enquanto!

Todos conhecemos a estória de São Valentim que morreu (decapitado) no ano de 269.

Mas sabiam que foi o Papa Gelásio I que estabeleceu o Dia de S. Valentim em 496 para ser celebrado a 14 de fevereiro em homenagem ao mártir cristão?

Este dia viria a ser associado ao amor romântico a partir dos séculos XIV e XV.

 

We all know the story of Saint Valentine who died (decapitated) in 269.

But did you know that it was Pope Gelasius I who established Saint Valentine’s Day in 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honour of the Christian martyr?

It was not until the 14^th and 15^th centuries that this day became associated with romantic love.

Hockey on ice/Hóquei no gelo

 Não é apenas uma atividade física/desportiva que aqui vejo.

Este grupo de sete jovens, entre os quais se encontravam três raparigas, ouviam música, praticavam hóquei e, nos intervalos, conversavam animadamente numa verdadeira camaragem que muito me agradou ver. Um excelente veículo para lidar com o nível geral de ansiedade que provavelmente sentirão.

I have been watching a lot of hockey this season!

What I saw that afternoon was a group of seven young people – four boys and three girls – listening to music and having fun on the ice, choosing the outdoors instead of video games, the best way to deal with the general level of anxiety they are bound to feel.
