“Raising the Tent”, 1997 – “Erguendo a Tenda”, 1997

“The standing man represents the theatre carpenter, the lower man was hired for his experience with a circus. The girl was based on Katie Besworth whose parents worked at the Festival.”

The first play, Richard III, was performed under a big-top tent on July 13, 1953.

A primeira peça de teatro, Ricardo III, teve lugar numa grande tenda no dia 13 de julho de 1953.
