Enquanto as famílias de gansos estavam a passear/nadar de uma forma muito disciplinada (ontem), os solteiros e as solteiras fartaram-se de se divertir na água. Mesmo ali à minha frente.

While the goose families were having a very disciplined outing (yesterday), the single guys and girls were frolicking and playing in the water. They were having a marvelous time!! Right in front of me!

Desculpa, amigo. Cheguei aqui primeiro!

What a treat! Como me distraí!

Hoje, voltei à outra margem da lagoa. (Não vos quero confundir)

Levei a minha cadeira e sentei-me à sombra de uma árvore. 

Estava rodeada de patos e gansos. Não me levantei para tirar as fotos que se seguem.

I returned to the other side of the pond today. (I don’t want to confuse you!)

I took my own chair. I sat in the shade of a tree. 

I was surrounded by geese and ducks. I never got up to take these pictures.

Está a chegar uma grande família

Sentei-me aqui – I sat here

À minha direita – to my right

À minha esquerda – to my left

Depois fiz mais uma caminhada de uns 30 minutos 
Then I walked for another 30 minutes

A Natureza no seu melhor – Nature at her best

Great blue heron – Garça-azul-grande

Esta postagem é apenas sobre a garça-azul-grande que vi há poucas horas a uma distância de uns dois metros de onde eu estava sentada. Não estou a brincar!

This post is all about the great blue heron I saw a couple of hours ago standing just two meters or so from where I was sitting. No kidding!
