Muitos de nós consideramos estas eleições como sendo as mais significativas das nossas vidas... por motivos sobejamente conhecidos.

Na semana passada exerci o meu superpoder. Votei no candidato que vai ser o nosso  Primeiro-Ministro !!

Most of us consider this election to be the most significant election of our lifetime… for reasons we all know!

I exerted my superpower last week. I voted for the candidate who will be Prime Minister of Canada !!

I miss the smell of the salty ocean, the sound of the waves breaking on the beach, the warm sand under my feet…

O Meu Lugar Feliz - "A minha rocha" na maré baixa

Sinto saudades do cheiro a maresia, do som das ondas a rebentarem na praia, da areia quente debaixo dos meus pés...

 

A primavera começou com nevões, chuva e temperaturas baixas, que afetaram negativamente o desenvolvimento das plantas.

A previsão meteorológica mais recente parece promissora. Finalmente! Os dias mais quentes vieram mesmo para ficar. E o que significa isto? Concertos ao ar livre, cocktails/mocktails no terraço/esplanadas, longos passeios no parque e – o que todos na cidade aguardam ansiosamente – o florescimento anual das cerejeiras no High Park.

Esperamos ver as lindas cerejeiras ornamentais -  Sakura - no final de abril ou início de maio.

High Park - 2012

Spring started with snowstorms, rain and cold temperatures that negatively affected plant development.

The more recent weather forecast looks promising. Finally! It seems the warmer days are truly here to stay. And what does this mean? Outdoor concerts, patio cocktails/mocktails, long walks in the park and – what everyone in the city is looking forward to – the annual cherry blossom bloom at High Park.

We are expecting to see the beautiful Sakura at the end of April or early May. 

 

A fruit tray can symbolize abundance and blessings. Abundance of God’s blessings and the "Fruit of the Spirit" - Kindness, joy, love, peace, goodness, gentleness, patience, faithfulness and self-control.

Pope Francis always reminded us to feel grateful for the gifts we receive from God, and how important it is to share and enjoy them with others.

 

Uma bandeja de fruta simboliza abundância, bênçãos divinas e o "Fruto do Espírito" - bondade, alegria, amor, paz, bondade, amabilidade, paciência, fidelidade e autocontrolo.

Papa Francisco recordou-nos, frequentemente, como é importante praticar a gratidão por todas as bençãos que recebemos de Deus e partilhá-las com os nossos semelhantes.
